What Is a Furring Channel Roll Forming Machine?
A furring channel is a hat-shaped steel member that creates a flat, stable plane for drywall ceilings, wall linings, and cladding. The machine produces it by feeding a galvanized or pre-painted coil through driven roller stations, each bending the strip closer to the finished profile, then punching service holes and cutting to length — usually 12 ft or 20 ft.
